How do I check into class when I arrive?

We recommend self check-in via our mobile app, available for download in the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android), for the simplest and safest (contactless) check-in. Otherwise, please see an instructor or staff member when you arrive.

The door was locked when I arrived. Why?

To ensure the safety of our students, staff, their personal belongings, and our retail products, we lock doors one minute before class begins. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts to avoid being locked out. Thank you for your understanding.

Is there a minimum age to practice?

Our minimum age requirement is 12 years old for adult classes. Students between the ages of 12 and 15 are not permitted to attend heated classes. Those 12 to 15 must practice with a parent or guardian. You have to be at least 16 to take a heated or hot yoga class. All minors (under 18) must have a parent waiver signed prior to practicing.

Where should I put my belongings?

Cubbies are available for shoes and socks. We also have a bench for shoe storage. Hooks are available for coats and other belongings. Please leave wet umbrellas in the holder by the front door. As a safety precaution, we recommend leaving personal items in your car or at home (to the extent possible). While we have video cameras, we cannot guarantee the safety of your personal belongings left unattended at the studio.

Do you have showers?

We do not have showers. We have two restrooms which can also be used as changing rooms.

Why should I practice at PRANA Yoga?

We have worked tirelessly to make the studio a beautiful, modern, and inviting space to practice with an unwavering focus on the details. Our instructors are supportive and approachable. Our class offerings are varied, yet consistent, and intentional. Our vibe is friendly, positive, and energetic. We seek to build community and care about each of our members. We welcome all human beings. We hope you'll join the family!

How is hot yoga different from a standard class? What should I expect?

Hot yoga classes are heated to 95-105 degrees fahrenheit. Heated classes are kept at around 80-85 degrees fahrenheit. You should expect to sweat! Make sure you hydrate before, during, and after class (we recommend 20 ounces of water at least 2-3 hours before class). Bring a towel and wear minimal layers of clothing. Invest in a quality rubber mat that will prevent slip (like the B Mat, available in store for purchase). Check with your doctor in advance if you have any health conditions. Recognize your limits and take plenty of breaks (rest in child's pose).

I can't make a class I registered for! What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel your reservation at any time. Classes must be cancelled at a minimum of 6 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the class. Please login to your account to manage your schedule.

What are your COVID-19 safety precautions?

The safety and well-being of our students continues to be a priority and we invested heavily into studio features and implemented safety protocols which help reduce the risk of exposure. At this time, masks will continue to be optional at the studio in most of our classes. We offer three weekly classes, taught by Angela Hawkins, that require masks for students that prefer to practice in that setting: Sunrise Flow Wed 6:30am, Friday Gentle Flow to Restore 6:30pm, and Sat Heated Flow 8:30am. The requirement is reflected in the class title. As a reminder, we take the following precautions to keep our students and teachers safe: - Our studio HVAC features an iWave air purification system. As the air flows past the iWave, positive and negative ions actively purify the supply air, killing mold, bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space without creating any harmful byproducts. In a recent test against COVID-19, the iWave inactivated 92.6% of the virus in 15 minutes and 99.4% of the virus at 30 minutes. - Disposable masks and hand sanitizer are available at the front desk - The studio floor is cleaned using a vinegar-based cleaning solution and high-touch surfaces are sanitized after every class - Our studio restrooms feature touchless soap and paper towel dispensers and touchless faucets - We continue to operate at a 25% reduced capacity with a 21 student (or less) maximum per class and 10 student maximum in Aerial Yoga - Contactless check-in via our mobile app, available for download in the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android) Please continue to take care and play your part in keeping our community safe. Please do not come to class if you have any symptoms of illness or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. Thank you!

What should I bring to class, what should I wear and when should I arrive?

WEAR: Wear comfortable, athletic clothing. We recommend layers that may be removed for comfort, especially in a heated or hot yoga class. Leave socks and shoes in the cubbies. BRING: Bring water in a reusable bottle to ensure hydration. At this time, as a safety precaution, we are requiring students to bring their own mats and props. Recommended props for a standard class include two blocks and a strap. Recommended props for a yin or restorative class include blocks, bolsters, blankets, and/or pillows. Mats and props are also available for sale in-studio. ARRIVE: Arrive between 5-10 minutes before class starts to check in and set up your mat in the designated spot. Doors may be locked before then. Doors are once again locked when class begins for safety reasons. We recommend self check-in via our mobile app, available for download in the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android), for the simplest and safest (contactless) check-in. Otherwise, please see an instructor or staff member when you arrive.

I am a beginner or new to yoga. Where do I start?

Congratulations for taking the first steps on your journey to total wellbeing! If you are a beginner or new to yoga, we recommend starting with our Sunday morning Intro to Yoga class, or any Gentle Flow class, and then transitioning to our Flow classes as you build familiarity with the practice. Our instructors are SUPER friendly and happy to help!
